Well, that is one of my reasons the doctor is listing in the letter of medical necessity.

But I hear that sometimes bandsters can have it even worse after surgery. So I'm not sure if it the surgery will cure mine or not, I'm hoping some weight loss will.

All of these are caused or made worse by extra weight:

Stress on joints. My mom had to have both knees replaces, primarily because of her weight.

High cholesterol or high blood pressure can lead to heart disease, especially if you have a family history of it.

High blood glucose, even if it isn't high enough for a diabetes diagnosis, makes you a lot more likely to get diabetes.

PCOS can lead to infertility and other health issues.

sleep apnea, where you stop breathing in your sleep.

etc.

Some reasons:

PCOS

High blood pressure

Migraines

High Chloestrol

Back pain

Knee pain

arthritis

foot pain/problems

irregular periods

reflux

I'm sure there are more, but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. ~Mandy

uterine fibroid tumors

athesma (especially if weather or exercised induced)

Vitamin deficencies

foot/knee/heel/hip pains

very heavy periods and menstrual pain

Can't think of others that aren't listed already.

My reasons are:

knee & back pain...headaches...risk of diebetes and heart desease...wanting to lengthen my lifesapn... wanting to have childresn... and of course feeling pretty again

I have hypothyroidism which is basically a life long condition which means my body does not burn energy just stores it...so no matter how much I might try without lapband and without the thyroxin I have to take each day..there is no way I would be able to loose weight on my own.

 becky

Iregular Periods

Stress urinary incontenents

High blood presure (even though it was cause by my anxitey they dont ask that part)

Sight sleep apnea

tried every diet know to man

shortness of breath when exerting one's self.

Hope this helps
