IMAGINE IF...WOULD YOU?

First I want to say that this post is just for fun. I just happened to think to myself the other day...If there was a such thing as getting VSG & then being able to somehow have my regular sized stomach back AFTER I reach goal, Would I do it??????? If it were possible, which we know it's not & easily done...Would I do it?? What do you all think? Hmmmm....I have mixed feelings. I feel that by time I get to goal, I will have enough experience, training, will power, whatever to be able to live with a normal sized stomach & still maintain the loss. I'd like to see what you all think.

Yep... HELL NO! I know me very well. I've been at goal a million times and guess what? The sleeve is going to work permanently for many reasons. A few are, I want to be healthy, I want to eat right, I hate being fat and it's cost me 100 grand just getting to the VSG , so by God.. It's going to work! I hope my wicked stomach rots a slow ugly death.. Good riddance!

I just shuddered at the idea of that thing finding its way back!

You're probably too young to remember the movie, The Blob.. When you said what you did the scene in the car when the blob tries snicking over the back of the seat.. Ok, no doubt, I'm the only one old enough lol

Carry on ;)

After being banded, I thought after I'd lost the over 100 lbs I needed to lose then I'd unfill all my Fluid and maintain. Now I'm unfilled (not because I made it to goal but becuz it slipped) and I'm slowly GAINING. I NEED a tool to help me. I'm defeated....

My whole family is encouraging me to just take out the band and leave it alone and do the last 30 lbs by myself. I know myself too well to ever let that happen! At least my hubbys in my corner...

Oh HELL no! I hope they incinerated that thing!

Evil! Evill! Stomach... Ewww I just shuddered at the idea of that thing finding its way back!

Maybe they could give you a stomach transplant? Then you would find out too late that you had the stomach from a serial killer that died in the electric chair, vowing vengence on the world. And late at night your stomach would make you sleep walk to Taco Bell where you'd have 4th meal and kill all the workers and put their remains in the taco meat!!!!!!!!!!!!! See the movie - Taca Taca Taca Taco bHell - MUAHAHAHAHAHA

I am also a member of a 12 step program dealing with substance abuse and we have a tongue-in-cheek saying:

"If I could drink like a normal person, I'd drink a lot!"

So, if I could eat like a normal person, I'D EAT A LOT!!

Sorry you have had that issue. I'll be your sleeve buddy if you'd like! Best wishes on getting sleeved if you do!

Once that thing is outta me, I don't even want to think about it anymore. It's done. Finito. History, baby! (I said the same thing about my uterus a few years ago, too!).

Actually they did incinerate mine then sent me a 475.00 bill for pathology.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
