TOM (why yes, I am a woman.) lol

Were any of you crazy hungry and craving like mad during your TOM? This is my first one and I've had pie this week and popcorn at the movies (shrinks to nothing in the stomach) and a bit of candy and I'm not feeling "full" like I usuually do. I know that my hormones and internal voice are being jerks, lol. Does this usually happen? I know it's a case by case, but sheesh. I'm starting to think my surgeon forgot to remove my stomach, lol. Also, I started taking fiber supplements becuse my pipes are a bit backed up (if you get my drift) and I would like to go on a regular basis. Is this ok, or no? Mexico Bariatric really didn't have anything mentioned about fiber. Just protein ,protein , water and more protein.

I'm there with you right now! It seems that my crazy food thoughts go on overdrive when it's myTOM.. And I feel like I can eat everything in site.

Unfortunately sweets and popcorn go down VERY easy. (Sliders) I'm having to take a step back this week and remember that it's possible to eat "around" the sleeve.

So today I'm staying away from temptation and eating on schedule with better food choices.

But I suspect it will be a issue that will need to be dealt with every month.

You guys are so not alone! When it's my TOM it's nothing for me to feel actual hunger when I normally don't feel it at all! Yes, popcorn is a slider food for me too- as are Welch's fruit snacks. My only saving grace is Celiac's Disease and not tolerating grains or any type of grains, etc. because otherwise, I'm sure it would be more of a struggle during the entire week. Thankfully, MFP helps keep me honest! :)

A gf of mine had the surgery done around a year ago and she said if she ate too much she got physically sick. I almost wish that would happen. My main reason for getting the sleeve was to feel that "full" feeling that I had always dreamed of. That intense jealousy of others being able to stop eating when they were "full." Full, what does this "full" mean? I went to Chillis the other night and had two mozzerella sticks (normally I would have had 5-8) and 4 bites of chicken with black beans and rice. I'm slowly snacking on half of the remainder of that meal right now. Aiming to finish it tonight for dinner perhaps. Thank God for sf popsicles!

I'm finding, where I'm getting into trouble is with not eating dense Protein first and "snacking"

I do not get full unless its some sort if protein.

This week I noticed I ate a lot more "bites" of things which just threw me into a grazing mode.

So back to meals and Snacks timed through out the day.

Snacking and grazing are to ways to get disastrous results from the sleeve.

I'm at six months out and I'm noticing that I can eat more now, but I do get that "full to overflowing" feeling. It's terrible! My surgeon told me, even after my stricture repair, that my sleeve would be tight, but this is crazy! Example: a half an ounce of almonds makes me so full I'm ill. BUT less than two hours later, I'm hungry again, so I drink a Protein drink for lunch. For dinner if we dine out, I can finally eat 5 grilled shrimp. I hate dining out, because I'm finished before everyone else gets started! The weight loss is great and I love that I'm healthier, but other than during my TOM, food is pointless. Want to trade places? I'd kill for some rice right now, Pixigirl! ;)

Ok, another weird side-effect is after I eat I can literally hear and feel my carotid (side of the neck) artery pulse. Only since after the surgery has this happened.
