Back to work on Monday To tell or not?

Recommended Posts

I work in a large factory and am a friendly sort, so I know a lot of people. I didn't tell anyone I was having surgery, I just didn't show up at work for the last 5 weeks, yes 5 weeks I have a very physical job, lifting, climbing up ladders, working on large presses I didn't thing I could do it after 4 weeks. I feeling great now, ready to go back. So do I tell or not, I'm leaning toward telling and anyone who doesn't like it, to bad.

It's entirely up to you. I think you will find that most people will be supportive. There's always a few that want to gossip etc. but overall people are pretty nice. And if they don't like it - well you know what they can do.

I go back to work Monday too. I'm telling if people ask. I have been off for the past 7 weeks, delivered my daughter 6 weeks ago and had surgery two weeks ago. I'm kinda hoping people will just think I've done amazing after having the baby but I will tell people who want to know. I think this is such an awesome tool for people like myself and I see LOTS of people on a daily basis who would benefit from it. If they want to know what I'm doing to lose weight, I'm telling! Good luck!

Everyone I work with has been very supportive. If you're generally an open person, go for it!

Yeah, after 5 weeks if you don't say SOMETHING, the gossip will be worse than the truth!

If you do want to tell, do. If you don't want to tell don't. It's totally up to you... It's your life!

I never made a decision as to tell or not to tell.

I "fly by the seat of my pants" and just say what I feel like saying at that particular moment to that particular person...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
