Today I had some 100% apple juice. I was really craving it' date=' and it helped me painlessly meet my Fluid intake. I say have some! We are even allowed to have mashed potatoes and hot Cereal.....LOTS of carbs. I think the low carb requirements start when we can eat real food.[/quote']

Buriedbombshell!!! Applejuice= Relief, Thank you!!!!

At what week did your doctors put you on puréed foods?

Glad to see you all are doing good!! I haven't been on here in a day or so' date=' so I am trying to catch up!!! :)[/quote']

Hi donatelife!! Glad you are doing well. My doc switched me to purees at my 10 day follow up. It's been ok, I enjoy eating yogurt the most.

Glad to hear you are doing well! I'm on puréed foods starting Tues. I'm not allowed to have naked juice. They told me it has too many carbs and sugars. I imagine it would be ok if watered down? I'm not sure though. I had a rough time having a BM. My doc said a lot was from my pain meds which were Tylenol 3 (codenine) and that binded me. Plus the lack of fruit and veggies. They suggested milk of magnesia. I can't take that stuff. But if you are able to get down liquid meds that might be an option. I can't wait to be in purée. I think we will be able to get things "movin" :) good luck to uou

I was getting desperate last night, but didn't drink naked juice n had Applejuice instead. Worked like a charm (thank God).

How are you doing??

My dr add yogurt, sugar free pudding, applesauce, creamy Soups and Protein shakes to my liquid diet when I went on Thursday! I don't go back to see him until May 2 so I have to keep doing this until I go back.....and I think at that point he adds grilled fish, tuna and that type stuff but not sure!!! Seems so far away!! LOL!

I am doing good on this stage of the diet! No nausea at all!!

What all can you have on the purée stage? When was your surgery again! I forgot! Lol!

I am WAY out in the country, so I agree, lol. That would be great! They also have one Friday morning at Starbucks at 7am. I'm an at-home mom, but I don't know if you work. There are a few options, and it will be GREAT to go together!

PS- Sorry you had such a rough food day :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
