Wow, that is really impressive! Congratulations!!!! That's a very IMPORTANT NSV!!!

I need to have mine checked again. It was still stuck on 5.9 last time, but I'm really hoping it has gone down.

Hey Girl! 5.9 is nothing to sneeze at! I think that's great too!

Yeah, it's okay. I have to really work to keep it there.

No, actually it's really good! It means that you're in good control and that your average blood sugar is running less than 132. That's very good! It's within normal limits.

When you do return to work? How long are you taking off?

Yeah, it was very fortunate timing that I was eligible to apply this year. Otherwise it would have been very difficult to even get two weeks off in a row, since I also teach during summer semester.

I did no dancing. Not sure you could call what the kids did dancing either...more like foreplay. You'd be horrified to see how teenagers dance these days (wow, I sound old). Lots of grinding and they don't ever face each other.

Luckily, all my purchases at Party City were covered by the school.

lol I don't want to know what the teenages are doing my oldest just started high school this year.... yikes!!!!!

My legs appear shorter too, but I think it's because of the hanging skin. If I wear the Spanx and pull everything up where it belongs (I know, bad visual) I fit in a Tall - if not, I need a regular. It's not so good!

I thought I was the only one who had to pull up the stuff in front. If I didn't have all that front end, I know I'd be in wee size pants. Wee size for me that is.

Minidriver: I'm on sabbatical working on a book proposal. I don't have to go back till January. Whoohoo!!!

How cool is that!!! Lucky you.

Snowgator -5 lbs

PartyAntOvrYt -25 lbs/ -4

laptastic -16 lbs/ 0

deboregon -10lbs/ -2

Kayleighsmommy -15 lbs/ +1.8

Coloradomom -15 lbs

Lap_dancer -8 lbs/ -0

minidriver -12 lbs

mem620 -15 lbs/ -1.5

I had an up then down week. Early in the week was a slide up, later in the week I slid right down. So I ended up where I started.

.................................. Patty stayed the same this week.

Dee I am waiting with an arm of roses to hear about your procedure.

Hello everyone...its been a long time. How are you dee? Your new picture is beautiful....you look so thin. My weight was stable for awhile and then lost another 5 lbs recently. I still can't believe I am in the 160's. I do wish I could afford a Tummy Tuck. I would like to be on the new challenge but I lose very slow now. I really need to start exercising again. Been bad about that. I guess I could try for 5 lbs for the Halloween challenge. Congrats to everyone on their continued weight loss.

Hey Bella!

I think about you all of the time and wonder how you're doing! I can't believe that you weigh in the 160's. My dream is to be in Onederland.

I have come so far, but I have so far to go that sometimes I get discouraged. I want to start living my life at a healthy normal weight so I'll just keep plugging along!

72 days til my TT and Brachioplasty! I can't wait!

Miss dee, you are such a freakin' rock star. I think when you get your surgeries, you are going to be amazed at how good you look and feel, and how that will give you a whole new burst of resolve. You have done such an amazing job, and the rest of us could take a big lesson from you.

Yep, I was surprised at how much my labs changed after surgery. Still happy to be taking one less pill.

I got stuck tonight. It was annoying, but fortunately whatever it was went through after a bit of cacking. chicken breast is dangerous. I wonder what I missed since I eat chicken breast all the stupid time.

I do Soup and soft meats and really haven't tried anything tough. I do have an addiction to Cookie Crisp. I crave it now. Fortunately, you can eat quite a bit of it for a low calorie count. I am having some oatmeal. I eat a lot of oatmeal, probably extra for the next couple days, just in case. It seems to stick with me and has other benefits. Avoid peaches and cream flavor, yick.

I have to start exercising too. I get some every day, but have to get back into the workout program.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
