Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

Jaime...

I was wanting 10 to be my size too. I am shocked that I am in a 6-8 and there are some brands that I could probably wear a 4. It is crazy, but in the best way!!!

Well, I think I was a hottie back when I was 19. I was 175lbs (at 5'8) and wearing a size 12 from NY&Co and I felt like such a beauty. So that's really my goal - to get back down to 175. If I can get lower than that, fabulous. But I'm not really expecting it.

I haven't worn a size 10 since 6th grade!!!!! :)

I am with you in the bra department Mini... the only ones that I have found that fit me for "in between" is the Gillian O'Malley ones at Target. I really like them, espicallly for the price. $16 or so...

Oh! I'll have to try those! Thanks for the suggestion.

I would be very happy with a 10 or 12 too. I haven't worn anything smaller than that since I had rheumatic fever at age 20 and dropped 40 lbs. The "serious illness" diet works really well, but I mainly just looked sickly.

Try getting malaria! I got skinny Dude! The malaria diet is a miracle!

Mini,

Could I get special dispensation to not weigh in until Sunday? I'm having some major dependent edema issues this week!!!

Thank you Kind Weight Loss Challenge Moderator-Girl~

Well, after solemn deliberation, I have decided to allow you this exception. You may now kiss my ring.

So, can I be excused from weigh-in until....December 30th? :)

I don't usually hate, but let me tell you, I've got some serious hatred for my scale right now.

I haven't been in a 14 since high school. I think maybe my freshman year. I can't imagine a 12 but I think I want to shoot for a 10. My mom has worn a 10 for as long as I remember and I want to be able to wear that. I can't really explain it. I can't fathom being able to wear those sizes! Really! I just can't!

Oh by the way I am 2 pounds away from the 40# mark. I can't believe it. Just 2 months ago I weighed 285.5 before I started pre-op!:tt1:

So ladies, all you professional Bandsters out there - what do you do when you have a bad cold/flu and need medication? When you go to the doctor, they are inevitably going to give you pills for your ailment. How do you approach that? Is there a liquid-form to what they'll give you for a flu? I've had this flu for 3 weeks this Thursday, and this morning my throat is on fire. I can't remember in all my 26 years my throat ever hurting this much. Add to that the stuffy head, sinus headache, and constant sneezing - I'm miserable. I can hardly talk - my throat is that bad.

I've told myself I'll finally go to a doctor tomorrow if my throat still feels this bad, but I'm worried I'll pay all that money to see the doctor (my insurance isn't that great) only to find that there's nothing he can prescribe me that isn't in pill form. Any opinions ladies?

Sorry your not feeling any better:crying:. There are a lot of medications you can get in liquid. Just let them know your situation. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Thanks! I think I'm gonna make some good ol' fashioned chicken Noodle Soup tonight! Hubby is out of town, so I can curl up with my soup and my cats and do absolutely nothing, haha.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
