weekly scale challenge

Darcy - I agree with all you said. In fact I dropped a size so I know I am losing, it just would be nice to actually see it once in a while! :D I tried on a bunch of things over the weekend that fit me just the week before and they looked terrible now. I just have to keep reminding myself of that! :D

Betty , Don't get discouraged. I just went threw (and may still be in a slump). I stayed the same for almost 6 weeks. Then last week I decided that even though I was moving inches around I wanted to do a reality check and I started writing every thing down I was eating and in the honest amounts. In tracking my food again I found that I had gotten off on what I was supposed to be doing so now I'm back following it well and I'm seeing the benifits.

Last week I lost my first pound in 6 weeks and today I lost another. So it appears I may have broken threw. But the important thing is I feel great and doing things I wasn't before and I know these pauses in weight lost, as upsetting as they are, are only temporary. The band helps cause in other diet attempts this is when I'd get upset and stuff myself back to higher weight. Band won't let me stuff so I just keep trying to follow my program.

Good luck and don't give up the faith

Don't hate me -- I lost three pounds last week, no thanks to good behavior. The flu robbed me of my appetite. I actually ate a Krispy Kreme donut on Wednesday because I was afraid my calorie count was getting way too low! Well, now I'm feeling a lot better and ready to eat again. I see a plateau in my future -- sigh.

I'm done 1.5 lbs. I find it amazing. I've been eating alot more lately and I think it's time for my first fill. I find I lose more when I eat more, perhaps I was eating too little.

Zoe,

Sorry to hear you were under the weather. Glad your better.

But thanks for the tip on how to bring up calorie count when you feel it may be to low.

One of the guys at work just won a free trip to Vegas at a cop's donut eating contest. He ate 7 Krispy Creams in one minute. Hell I could do that banded LOL But I didn't enter cause I was afraid my Dr. would throw me out of his office window if he heard I did ...lol...Might have chanced it if Dr wasn't on the fourth floor

Hey Greg, do you have to be a cop to enter that donut eating contest? Because the smart money would be on me. Tell your doctor to move to a lower floor so you can get in on the fun.

Well back to my old ways lol. No loss this week. But still a happy camper for what I have acheived so far.

Zoe

Not real sure you'd want to go up against cops in one of these contest. You could get hurt lol...Or if your beating them they just might trump up a charge or two to get the handcuffs on you and slow you down.

Well I'll tell ya... there is going to be another jump on the scale sometime this week because I am still up that one pound from last week... My rings are usually so loose that they won't stay straight and this morning they are too tight... oh and Aunt Flo is commin... WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Okay... done feelin sorry for myself... back to busting my butt for nuttin... okay... I guess I wasn't done feelin sorry for myself.

I'm right along with you Greg and Darcy, no loss for me either! I have been sitting at this same place for a long time, and I am ready for it to move down a little bit.

Greg, Darcy, Betty -- You have all done incredibly well with your bands! Look at your overall stats. Wow! You're all headed in the right direction and are inspirations to new bandsters. Those plateaus will end soon and you'll be back to your losing ways.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
