OMG how was I able to eat a whole Big Mac!!!!!! Why do I do this to myself!!!! I didn't feel full, I didn't vomit, and I don't feel sick.... It took me half an hour but I was able to do it! I was sleeved on 1/8/13.... By now I should feel the restriction should I?? Also, yes, poor choice of food but I have to admit, it was delicious!!!!!!

As a pre-op, this scares me.

I don't want to be able to eat a whole Big Mac after surgery. I hope my restriction is better. My highgest weight was 410lbs and I feel this surgery is necessary to save my life. I know there may be moments when I'll eat a hamburger but I hope it is only a bite or two. Otherwise, this surgery is kind of pointless for me. It just scares me to think I'd be able to eat that much. I don't know?

I wouldn't worry about this. I mean you do have to make good choices. The sleeve won't MAKE you eat good food.. But it will help with amounts.

Just like everything you could cheat it if you really wanted to.. But at four months I don't think I could eat a Big Mac .

Why would you want to eat a Big Mac after everything you through to even get the surgery?

To the OP some tough love here. You need to pull up your big girl pants and stop this nonsense. Did you get 85% of your stomach removed to go and eat a BIG MAC? You have weight to lose and will NOT be successful by doing this. Join a support group if you need to. Call your NUT. Please get a grip and stop this sabotage. I truly wish you all the best and success, you can do this!!!

At Anniemay, sometimes things just happen... You think you will be perfect n not eat something you shouldn't after surgery? Then you are fooling yourself. There will be a day when you will want to eat something n trust me if you are going through a lot of things in your life you will eat it!!! @ Amazon, I actually belong to a great support group but thanks for the suggestion I will take it Into consideration.

WOW....I'm scratching my head!! At almost 17 months out, there is no way I could eat an entire Big Mac. Now, I haven't actually tried, but once in a great while I eat 1/2 of a hamburger from In N Out.

I didn't even try ANYTHING from a fast food place until I was well over 4 months out and when I did, I couldn't stand it. Even to this day, fast food tastes HORRIBLE....I think because it's so processed. The only thing I can tolerate is that 1/2 hamburger from In N Out.

My concern for you is not that you were able to eat a Big Mac, but that because you can, it's easier to go for that choice again and make a regular occurance of it. I'm not saying you will....but if I had been able to eat one at less than 3 months out, I would probably just continue to eat them on a regular basis.

I am praying for you! I did not think that it would be physically possible to eat that 1 week post op. This really discourages me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
