I have been feelin all good about myself until I saw my reflection in a full length mirror yesterday. Sure I'm losing but oh my lawd, my butt is taking on a stupid shape. I'm only 18 days out and I'm blaming this butt shape on lack of exercise. Sitting on my arse, trying to heal and figure out what's wrong with my gut (whole other story).

You know how some people have that flat spot then it gets round on the top? Like you can see where they have sat for years and years?

That's now MY butt. NOOOOOO! I can't WAIT til I can exercise and get my fat redistributing. Dang.

Amanda, I'm in the hospital with blood clots in the vessels in(on?) my intestines. It's rare, they say I'm an "interesting case". Had I waited, parts of my bowel actually could have died and I'd need sirgery. I've been here since yesterday and I seem to be improving already. The pain really seems to Have subsided quite a bit.

But. My butt. :( it looks like an old ladies rump.

Well, I guess since this is rare, chances are you won't get it. But I had severe stomach pain for a week. Doubled over on the floor crying out to god pain. Was mis"diagnosed" 3 times because noone wanted to take me very seriously. Sigh

Amy.. You are too funny... Focus on that healing and losing. You can reshape your ass down the road! So for you, its throw away the scale AND the mirror! :)

All my life, even when stick thin, I had hips. Got fat, hips got fatter. Got thin, hips went flat. I mean gone. NO BUTT.

Don't know where the heck it went.

Enough about butts. More importantly, hope you get better soon, amytug!

Im 60 so expecting no butt, boobs to the waist at least, and a crap load of ugly skin! Im going to get a bunch of those spam can keys and just roll it up and tuck it away. I think with all the other issues, a flat butt will be pretty far down my priority list! Tons of well wishes amy! I think you sound better... Theres a joy in your words that i have not heard for a long time.

Lol Amy! You're so cute. And unfortunately I've lost and gained weight (up to 100lbs) more times than I'd like to count, and really, you could look in the mirror 10 pounds from now and your butt might be a whole new shape!! Lol Don't worry about it. You need to focus on resting and getting better. Your first couple weeks have sucked! But, it's all downhill from here!!! :)

What!!?? So those perky whiskers and those unwrinkled eyes werent a dead give away!? Lol.... I am young at heart and work with mostly much younger women and under 20 kids so have failed/refused to start wearing dark colors and say things like... When i was your age..... I did realize after i had posted my comment that few would remember a spam key... Theyre probably pull top now! Im happy to say i have not purchased the stuff for many years!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
