Akmak crackers are awesome. I find them right next to the rye crisp crackers and Wasa in the grocery in my rural Iowa town. If you can find them here you can find them anywhere!

Ak mak are amazing. I can only eat one at a time but still get some Fiber and Protein plus they taste so much better than most 'healthy' crackers.

They don't have them at my local grocery story but so at trader joes and whole foods. Not sure about fresh market.

Dairy Queen Soft Serve vanilla Ice Cream with Rainbow Sprinkles. Goes down way too easy.

On the plus side, my lactose intolerance gets me in the end (so to speak ;) ), so I will pay a price for my indulgence.

Quaker mini rice cakes...

Chobani 0% yogurts...

Sensible Portions Ranch Veggie chips...

I knew before I even tried the rice cakes and veggie chips that they would be sliders... I had been wanting something crunchy and they cured my craving for not many carbs. I've only had half a serving of either thing, but felt no restriction at all. I can eat a whole chobani yogurt in one sitting...not necessarily a bad thing, but something I didn't think I'd be able to do so soon out. Sorry for rambling, lol.

Having just straight up yogurt goes through me too. My nut told me to jazz it up...so now i have 1/3 cup fage and add a quarter cup of high Protein Special K and a couple berries to mine. Sometimes i also do a tablespoon or half tbsp of flax seed. Almost can't finish it and sometimes don't but so nutritious and good carbs!

Oh, blooming oinion!!!! I have been thinking about one of those for months now. How bad could it be? It's just an onion. Vegetable... Kidding. That would send me right over the edge! I believe in moderation, but I also believe there are some things I couldn't handle. Sad, really...

I tried soft serve for the first time today expecting it to be a slider but i definitely felt some restriction. Got full very quick and threw away like 75% of the thing. My slider is strawberries and imitation crab for some reason though. I can eat them forever.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
