feb 2013 sleevers weigh in

Recommended Posts

I am absolutely stuck at 181 and I am so tired of planning what to eat. I really need to push to get down to 150 by Feb 2014, but I've been so tired lately that I have no energy after work. I guess I'll just have to carry on and wait this out.

Today makes 8 months. I've slowed way down and I'm okay with that. I hit my clothing size goal but I'm still 30-45lbs from my weight goal.

I feel you! 20 lbs from goal and the scale's not moving.

Mines moving but I had to up my calories and carb cycle a bit. I need to lose at least another 15 before February to have 80% excess weight loss. That's the going number for someone who started out with my BMI. My surgeon said I wouldn't get lower than 60% EWL, I can't wait to go to my apt since I'm at 70% now. ....it's a long road but I'm here for the duration.

It must feel awesome to be 20lbs from your goal. I can't wait to reach that.

What are the expected percentages for different stages?

I.E. 3 months, 6 months, 12 months?

76 pounds gone since Feb 27th. Yes the scale is moving very slowly these days. Still only 44 pounds till goal I am hoping that I will reach my goal by my "surgiversary" Feb 2014.

Don't panic! I lost almost nothing last month, but have resumed losing the past couple of weeks...(2 lbs a week). Keep the faith, it will happen!

My scale hasn't moved in a month either! I was worried then I went to see how close I was to fitting into a pair of jeans I had bought months earlier (size 7) and they fit!!! I guess the inches shed off while the scale doesn't move....

Don't feel bad. I've been stuck at 98-99lbs and can't get to my first goal of 100lbs down. It has been one month with no change, but I am being patient because I know it will happen eventually.

Sorry, I'm just seeing this. The paper I go off of is 60% at 6 months, 70% at 9 and 80% at one year. It varies depending where you started. If I remember right it's for BMI over 40.

It sounds trivial when someone say's "Hang in there, it will happen", The fact is, it DOES happen. As long as you are watching what you eat, losing weight is inevitable. I finally broke my stall a couple of weeks ago, which was almost a month. I stay away from fast food, fried foods and refined sugar like the plague. During a three week span, I lost a total of 2 lbs but my clothes continued to get smaller.

I've been watching what I eat since my surgery but my workout had been interrupted by my schedule from 5-2 days a week. I have been working longer hours to prepare things for being out following surgery next week. Maybe that has something to do with my lack of loss. I went for my surgical clearance and the doctor said "you look great" how much have you lost! I told him 99lbs and he put 100lbs lost on my chart and told me he won't tell anyone.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
