Bunless Taco Burgers Low Carb Good Protein

Surgery is Tues and I've been on low carb/high protein pre op diet. I kind of invented something tonight and I thought "Hey, this would be perfect a few months post-op" so I wanted to share w/ ya'll! Taco Bunless Burgers. Put taco seasoning (home made would have less sodium if you're up to doing individual spices) into 1 lb ground turkey & mix well. Divide into 8 even portions and form into patty in a baking pan (or you could do in a cupcake pan it would be more like a meatball). Bake on broil 4 mins on each side (8 mins total) or until done in center. Add 1/2 cup shredded taco cheese (divided into 8 portions), diced onion, salsa, and 1 Tbsp. Fat Free Sour Cream to each piece. This will end up being about 3-4 ounces for the whole package and only about 125 calories each! Let me know what you think ;D

Sounds yummy! I love mexican food! I'll have to try it when I'm allowed to have turkey burger, cheese, salsa, and onion again...

You could also use greek yogurt inst of sour cream to get more protein.

sounds good, if you think you'll miss the crunch too much, you can line your cupcake pan with wonton wrappers, 2 per cup, and then bake, or you could also portion out and freeze raw, then when making for some crunch, just cook loose in a skillet and enjoy in lettuce like lettuce wraps.
