Had my surgery 7:30 Monday morning. Discharged yesterday evening. Had a pretty rough first night at home with nausea and dry heaving. My abdomen is very' date=' very sore from that. :-(( Trying to get my fluids in this morning and walking as much as possible. Praying it does get easier with each day that passes. Hope all if the other March 18 people are doing well![/quote']

Hey Sherri, glad to see everything went well with your surgery, how are things now?

Had my surgery on Monday at 10 am left the hospital on the 19th at 10:30. Haven't needed the pain meds, pain is tolerable and the nausea from the meds is not. I'm feeling great today woke up early already had a delicious 3 tablespoon shake! Getting around 77 oz of Fluid and managed 5 of the small shakes yesterday. I am down 20 pounds since I starred my pre-op diet on March 12. That is just crazy to me!!! I started this at 250 pounds 5' 6 " was 241 at the hospital day of surgery and as of my scale I'm 228 this a.m I'm giving a couple of pounds for the differences in the scales which I'm sure there is! Nervous about starting my Vitamins on Monday, just having something a little more solid going down! How's everyone else feeling today???

I am a March 18 sleever too! Happy one week anniversary, all! I was going into surgery at this time last Monday - I was a 7:30 surgery. One week later, I am doing great, for the most part! I started back on the treadmill on Thursday, and I am now up to walking for 30 minutes on the treadmill at 2.2 mph. I started driving again on Friday. The biggest problem so far is that I get carsick when I drive or I ride in the car. Apparently, a couple of friends that have had WLS say this can be normal for a couple of weeks. I am calling the doc today to see if I should take OTC motion sickness stuff, or get a prescription. Other than that, I am feeling pretty good! Still getting adjusted to drinking SMALL SIPS SLOWLY. Sometimes, I just want to chug down Water. Patience.....

Doing good today. Had a little egg salad for easter lunch while the family dined on ham, mashed potatoes, and all the fixings! Didn't bother me and I cooked the meal. Happy Easter!

Doing good so far. Started the pre-op at 233 (gained 10 food funeraling but I am good with that). Was down to 217.8 day before surgey. Was 206 on friday for my post-op follow-up). My size 18s are getting loose.

I'm starting soft foods tomorrow. I think I am going to count April as my start time because eating food is when the real fun.

Are we able to eat honey? I don't usually sweeten tea but I have a lavender tea that is pretty strong and maybe one tsp would do it. I don't like sweets but I want to avoid all the fake sugar since I'm getting so much of it in the Protein Shakes.< /p>

I'm still on full liquids for a couple more days, and I'm really ready to move to the next stage. I really haven't lost much weight since surgery, but I'm hoping that changes soon.

I had my surgery on March 18th. I did really well the first week, but this past week I have had alot of nausea and not getting

my Protein and Water in. I am sooooo sick of the Protein Shakes. They are too sweet and it makes me want to gag. I did better yesterday and hopefully I will do ok by the end of today.

What are the rest of you that had surgery on the 18th allowed to eat now?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
