The surgery works and it will work for you if you use it properly. It will give you control over your eating.

Will something go wrong???

It could, but the odds are very very low. After all it is major surgery. But what is your life going to be like if you continue on the current path?

Is this real???

Yep

Will my life change for real??

I can guarantee your life will change, starting the moment you're wheeled out after surgery!

I am feeling the same way, my surgery will be next Friday the 8 th, I read all these conversations on here and see all the diets, my dr didn't put me on any diet just an eat light the day before, the time is coming quick and I'm like what the heck in 2 weeks I won't have my stomach, what am I doing, I know it's right just seems unnatural

Blueskies no diet here either, not even the day before surgery. Just nothing after mid-night??

Does that sound right?? Will my stomach be empty by morning say if I ate at 6 pm the night before??

Yeah I guess, the dietician said eat light , that way not so much sitting on your liver, dr told me he doesn't do the pre op diet cause it brings down the immune system

I am going to do what ever the dr tells me to do and that is the way to go. The question is how bad do you want it?

All docs are different. Many times it depends on your overall health. Mine was 3 day prepping liquid diet some are 30. I would not worry. Your doc doing based off their history.

Good luck everyone !

Yeah I definitely agree to following dr of course, seems like some people call their dr the NUT? Funny, but it is crazy how many different ways they have for preparing , I wonder if there is differences with the outcome overall

Hehehe

No the NUT is for their nutritionist not the Dr.

:P

Lolol, well I will go hide now feeling pretty dang stupid , oops

Blue, it took me a few times to finally get it too.

Lolol' date=' well I will go hide now feeling pretty dang stupid , oops[/quote']

No not at all... I didn't know either and it's so much better if it were the dr being called the nut

There are so many acronyms and abbreviations on here that I'm still stumped on

Right there with you Blue...Mine is scheduled for the 6th...that's one week from Wednesday....ONE WEEK!!!! I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I've lost the weight, done the preops, the hospital called today for Pre registration and it's starting to sink in...starting to....

Thanks ladies, here we go for our rides of our lives, I have always wondered what it's like to fit into a 12 or under hopefully next year I'll be in them, or I should say we will all be in them, whoopwhoop
