Cardio after lifting... should I take protein before cardio?

Been back in the gym for about a week now only doing cardio. Today I started a 12 week lifting program followed by 30mins of cardio. I have read to drink Protein after lifting. So should I drink a Protein Shake right after my lifting workout and then proceed to do my 30 min cardio or can the protein wait until my complete workout is over.

thanks

I usually drink my protein when I'm done with the workout. I do my cardio first, then weights then eat or drink the protein. I don't think that there is a right or wrong way. Some prefer to protein up before working out some do it after. I just never liked working out with anything on my stomach.

I have read to drink Protein after lifting.

thanks

yes, i am pretty sure you are supposed to have protein/drink/bar?? after you do weights - "something" about maintaining/not loosing muscle mass???

probably not saying that correctly

but the premise is there - important to eat/drink after weights :)

cardio -i don't think its necessary to eat/drink protein after cardio

just drink plenty of Water, during and after :)

good for you on "moving ahead" doing your exercises, weights, cardio et al :)

continued good luck
