Okay this may seem stupid.......

I have surgery on Thursday March 14th' date=' I will arrive Wednesday the 13th, but what day should I fly back home? I thought it should be Monday, is that correct?

Thanks!! I am trying to book my airline tickets tonight, just confusing myself I guess![/quote']

I have the same surgery date and was told by my coordinator that I could fly back on Sunday.

Many people fly back a day early and some take an extra day. For me I'm flying in on the 12th, surgery on the 13th and I'm flying out on MONDAY. I am paying for an extra day. If I just went with what my package offers, I'd be flying back on Sunday, but I arrived a day before you. MBC give one preop night in the hotel, two nights in the hospital and then two more nights in the hotel... Does R4C give one less night in the hotel?

Excellent, I'll see you there! Not sure what floor I'll be on since I'm with Cabrera but I know Mi is a teeny hospital so I'm sure we'll find each other. Are you staying at the Marriott?

To be honest..I may have lessened my stay by accident....Good Lord! Oh Well, it is what it is. I don't think i'll be changing my flight and paying a huge fee. UGH!

It's somewhat comforting to know I'm not the only one who struggled with the math. I actually had my coordinator tell me when to get my tickets. I was getting confused counting DAYS when I should have been counting NIGHTS. She even helped me pick my surgery day so I could get the cheapest flights.

I was like, is this really this hard? HAHA

I fly in on the 12th and depart at 7pm on Saturday the 16th.

As far as preop diets, my sheet says 7-14 days, what is everyone doing? 7, 10, 14? What determines how early you should start?

My coordinator alma told me to do 1 week pre-op & no laxative needed. It can be confusing when It's on your paperwork to do...ugh. Then the light Breakfast I can have the morning I fly there 3/12. But is it a shake or clear liquid?

I arrive 3/12 and return flight leaves at 10:02pm on 3/16 so Since i am paying for the night of the 3/16 anyway as part of the package, shouldn't i be allowed to stay longer in my room instead of sitting in the airport for hours?

I was told it was 7 days for me because I have a lower BMI (35). But I would definately check with your doctor. (using Dr Garcia)

I am also going with dr Garcia.... March 8... Alma' told me the same, 7 days no lax. She also said something light breakfast she mentioned "cereal" so that's what I'll do. Hope this helped:)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
