Interesting. Is there any scientific explanation or is it all anecdotal?

My PCP wrote about them.in his last newsletter. He said they contain caffeine and basically suck Water out through the skin and it is temporary (results last a few days) and unless you keep using the results do not last. Regardless of what anyone says. Temporary.

Basically a waste of money unless you need a quick fix for a reunion or something superficial.

I'd rather just wear a girdle. I started at 365, there's no wrap in existance that's gonna tuck that skin in.

Right? I could wrap my gut in saran wrap and wear some Spanx for less...same result.

To each his own.

I was skeptical too until I saw someone with amazing results. And just like weight loss surgery it's a tool. Without maintenance (such as diet and exercise) you will go back to the way you were.

I'm going to try them as soon as my incisions heal. I'm thinking of selling them in my salon

Can you explain how it works?

What does it do exactly?

It's a wrap of either cloth or seran wrap type material that has usually herbs or minerals on it that's supposed to help 'breakdown' the fat cells under the skin by detoxifying you. Essentially though, it just rids you of excess Water, so you will see results (tighter skin and a loss of inches) but it's certainly only temporary. It should last a few days, maybe even a week or so but it's not going to permanently get rid of those inches. It's more like a spray tan, looks good for awhile but fades away unless you continually have it done.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
