Well I'm headed to the hospital in a few minutes to get my sleeve. My surgery is at 7:30 this morning. Even though I'm a nurse and used to surgeries I am very nervous :( It's hard being on the other side of this and not having any control lol All will go well though :) Good luck and prayers going out to all those getting sleeved today!! TTYL sleeved and ready for our new journey :)

Headed to the hospital as well...nerves are certainly kicked in. Prayers and well wishes to you.

I'd appreciate a few sent this way as well.....see you all on the loser's bench!

Will do. We got this!!

Leak - unfortunately I have a leak. Yesterday during my one week checkup the doctor said my drain was draining soup that I was eating. Sent me over to the hospital for a cat-scan and a upper GI which confirmed quote "a small leak and a small bubble of fluid". The surgeon explained how bad "deadly" this could become quickly and put me on a all liquid diet nothing solid including the gummy Vitamins. Today we return to the hospital to put a "pick line" in so they can take blood' date=' put food, put medicine etc in. We are very scared and disappointed. This is certainly not what I bargained for especially because I was a PERFECT patient. I think I have a long road ahead.[/quote']

I'm sorry for your leak praying got u and your family. ????

HockeyMa, I'll save you a seat. You will do well. Just think of the fun you will have playing with your son, and your back won't be hurting and you won't be out of breath!

You will be doing laps in the hospital this evening!

Thank you Sweetcurves3!! Im glad to hear you had no troubles. It really freaked me out to hear her talking. All I could envision was me spitting all day...lol! I hope I am able to keep liquids down just as well. Thank you for sharing. I greatly appreciate it. :)

Congrats on your surgery date. Hope all goes well. To answer your question I didn't have an issue swallowing my own saliva. Im a little over a week out and I can tell the difference in the amount of Water I'm able to consume. I was taking tiny tiny sip of water the first few days' date=' but now I can actually drink maybe an oz at a time[/quote']
