  5. Hi Lory! Are you from Louisiana? I sure love that state!! I love crawfish! Gotta love those protein shakes. I've been doing a low carb version diet created by my nutritionist at the hospital. It's funny how your cravings try to grab you. I've had to startup diet early. I've lost 26 lbs and I'm finally in the BMI range my surgeon wants. I've been drinking MiO drink liquid. Can you have that? I love it.
  6. My fingers are crossed too. It's great he has his AA friends to help. They are very important. I hope he gets things together from AA also. And bless you mum. She's doing her best. I know it feels selfish but we need to be selfish to take care of ourselves. I wish I had that magic wand for you. My grandpa drank for years. It was hard on my family too. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  8. I'm sorry to hear that. I understand completely. My mom and dad are really not happy about this. I got the comment, "so you don't have will-power". I told her it had nothing to do with willpower! I haven't told anyone else, but one friend found out on a fb WLS from my hospital. I told her to tell no one else. She's supportive because she will be having the surgery herself. Keep the faith. You are doing what is best for you. When they see how happy you become after WLS, then they will understand. My surgery is April 1st. Best wishes!!

I want to be prepared even though I know it's not possible to be prepared for everything. My emotions are up and down but I'm preparing to positive about my journey.
