FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved

Recommended Posts

Ahh, someone like me....I was taking weekly pix and not seeing any difference and getting discouraged with what I saw. Weight was coming off (slowly) and inches were moving around and coming off...but the pix weren't showing the progress so I quit taking pix for the last month or so. It's probably time to take another I guess and see because I am looking at your pix and I can see a difference. YOU LOOK GOOD! I think for those of us that were at 300 or so it's just a different kind of progress.

I was wearing snug 24's at my highest (295) and even though I am still working my way through my "fat clothes" sizes 24, 22, 20...I just bought some 18's and even got some workout pants that are 14's (admittedly they are snug) but it's progress....we CAN do this!

we started at about the same place, I was 294. I was wearing 28 bottoms & 26/28 tops. Discouraged that my bottoms aren't coming down too fast, I am in a 24, but my tops have really changed, I am in an 18/20. We all lose differently!

Thanks! I wanted 100 lbs by 4 mo- then I realized- for me- that wasn't gonna happen-- so I strived for 100 by 6 mo-- that's 30 lbs this month.... I don't know if that's possible being that I'm consistent w 10 a month-- we will see!!

I average 10lbs a month. Totally healthy loss and grateful that it's 10 lbs down and not up each month.

I'm currently down 96 and my highest was 315. I also stopped taking pictures because I wasn't noticing a difference. All of. Sudden I had a huge shift in my body. My size has jumped way down. I've been hanging out in 22s and yesterday I went to buy 18s. Imagine my shock when 16s fit. Once you get into those sizes there going to go down even faster. This is the part I wasn't looking forward to. I've spent a lot trying to get clothes that fit. I've officially ran out of my "skinny girl" clothes. ( well only a lot because I finally had to replace my $80 Spanx with a couple new pairs) i

10 a month has been my average now and at 1st I was not happy with it but now I realize it's a healthy loss. Hubby lost his faster and now he is getting his gallbladder out. So 10 lbs a month works just fine for me- I am not interested in having my gallbladder out now, lol.

My surgery was on 2/4/13 and since then I have lost 76lbs and I feel wonderful. I am happier now than I have been in along time with myself. The only problem I have none of my clothes fit(which is a good thing). I was in a size 26 pants now I am in size 18 and they are getting loose! :D

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
