My Dr said not to go more than 3-4 days without moving your bowels' date=' and if you hit that mark to take and adult dose of mill of magnesia.

My NUT also suggested maintaining by adding ground flax seed to shakes, or using some type of Fiber powder daily

You need to be sure you're getting enough Water though or you won't go, and even taking the fiber will make it worse if you don't take in enough water.

Good luck to you :)[/quote']

I also agree, I had two horrible bouts with Constipation post op. I would rather have been in labor. It was the most painful experience of my life. ( granted I had an 29 hour hard labor with my first, I would have rather done that again)

I started taking mirlax everyday, after two days I backed off to every other day. Now I will back off to every 3rd day. So far I can go every morning. It's very important to stay on top of your movements.

I found myself wondering if the doc did anything to me as well. Maybe 2/26 was a day for lucky sleevers ;)

I was starting to believe that as well. LOL

However, my Surgeon has us on a strict phase plan, so I don't start Protein until next week....for 6 more weeks. UGH! But if its necessary, then I will follow. I have been blessed not to have any other pains besides the gas.

2/26/13 Sleevers are gonna knock it out the box. Hahaha

I am so excited! I had my first post op appt Thursday and they took my drain out which was great as I was so sick of that thing. My excitement is from the fact that I have lost 17lbs. I was sleeved on the 27th and I sometimes wonder what I am doing wrong because I am not having any issues. I can drink almost normally with no pain. It isn't until I eat that I realize that my intake has cut down dramatically. I am just scared that if it is too easy I will slip back into old habits. I keep reminding myself that I lost about 30 lbs pre op by the changes I had already made I will not slip back because I know better. I guess I am scared of old patterns.

I was sleeved that day to wha t are y ou eating?

I was sleeved on 2/12 and am down 26 lbs since surgery and a total of 50 since 1/1/13! I'm only 1 lb away from leaving THREE-ville FOREVER!!!

I'm in puréed foods and am getting a little bored. I've searched for recipe ideas but so far' date=' nothing that jumps out at me. Does anyone have any wins they can share with me?

I'm getting in my Protein and fluids and walking daily. I hope to start Zumba in the next few weeks!

Best of luck to all and continued success!!!

Please share any puréed recipes that you love :-)[/quote']

I was sleeved 2/12 too! I had mushroom, ricotta, and greek yogurt puree yesterday. My mom made it for me and it was a great change from my usual foods. Your weightloss is awesome! I have only lost 19 lbs. since surgery but Im happy. Best of luck to you!

I was sleeved on 2/5, and I just entered my whole foods stage yesterday - yay!! My first food was broiled tilapia with a little salad (so nice to be able to use my teeth again!!). I've lost 39 pounds since my surgery, and I'm feeling pretty good. I definitely feel a bit more energy by taking in my nutrients from whole foods. I'm planning on picking up my exercise routine on Monday (have been walking a bit, but feeling ready for more). All in all, life is great!!

I'm below 350 for the first time in about 3 years. The last diet I was on took me from 430 to about 345. That was a 7 month diet. I never could go lower than 345 (even though I was working out 90 minutes a day) and became discouraged.

I started my sleeve journey at 397 on 1/31. I'm 349 on 3/9 and I haven't even been cleared for strenuous work outs yet! Life is good! I can't wait to start kicking some ass in the gym!

Amazing congrats!!!

I was sleeved 2/20 and returned to work last week on 3/4. Caught the Ofc cold within 1 day and am just starting to feel better but not great. Only down 1/2 lb from last week by scale but not discouraged as I feel smaller everywhere. I am looking forward to getting back to walking and working in my Esmonde stretching exercise and enjoying pureed foods for the next two weeks

I weigh every day but only record it weekly. So in my mind those other days don't count!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
