March Sleevers Where are You

Recommended Posts

Day 5. Feeling much better. Stomach sore but gas is mostly gone! Went and got my hair cut, colored, and highlighted today. Did well though it was a little tough sitting up from getting hair washed. Felt good to have it done. Needed a pain pill when I came home though. Follow up apt with Dr. tommorrow and then on to full liquids on Friday! Can't wait!

I'm pretty much three weeks out and in a stall! :( been losing and gaining the same three lbs for like four days! blah it sucks! I know I know it's normal. Just frustrating! Wish I could go to the gym!!! Still have a couple weeks til doc says I can. Blah!

I'm at week four and have hit a stall. :( BUT I'm NOT letting it upset me! I know that I've done the right thing!

We are in the middle of moving so my exercise time is limited. Once we are settled two weeks from now, I've already found a yoga studio and mapped out my walking route in the new neighborhood!

First time dealing with real food since surgery date, March 29. Got out of hospital on Easter and basically slept through the feeding frenzy at my mom's house. Bought lots of easy microwave food at costco per-surgery for husband to make for himself and our son. Tonight I felt better so I did the heating and dishing out on the plates - man, I wanted to take a bite of the rigatoni so badly! Hurried out of the kitchen and am chomping on my Popsicle. One more week of full liquids may make me crazy!!

Well, I took my first trip to Whole Foods today.....I bought a few things for when i go on regular foods in a couple of weeks. So while I was there, my kids were going around getting samples from all of the little sample people, and we come to one table where they had different chesses and preserves to taste together, an before i knew it i had tried the goat cheese and strawberry-basil preserve......OMG, it was DELICIOUS, then i realized what i had done????. So the good thing is that i am on day five of pureed foods and smooth cheese is included in that, but i really thought it would have that "slider" effect but nope new tummy was fine even with the preserves.....I will definately be more careful for the next few weeks though, until i'm cleared for regular diet. But I LOVE Whole Foods...these are some things i bought to try when I can.......

Nicole 2013, how are you? I was sleeved the same day. I'm bloated due to my period coming. No weight loss at this point. I'm sad about that.

Okay, it will soon be a month since my sleeve surgery. Getting really nauseated in the morning. Saw doctor today, said this is normal. Lost 22 lbs. so far. Not really feeling that great. Cannot seem to drink all my Protein I should. Kind of makes me sick to think about it at times. Doctor said I would feel better in a few more weeks. I can't wait, cause up until now, I have been thinking, "what have I done"?. I know it will be worth it, especially when I can eat more variety. Anybody having trouble with protein?

2 1/2 weeks out... Sleeved March 21... Down 25 lbs and doing great... I do get tired in the afternoons a bit but back to work 9-5, I drink a Protein Shake for Breakfast (esa, nectar or unjury), one for lunch and cottage cheese and pureed chicken or crab for dinner, sugar free Jello or pudding for snacks...

I did slime yesterday... Thats weird, like throwing up a jelly fish!! Anyone else??

I'm at week four and have hit a stall. :( BUT I'm NOT letting it upset me! I know that I've done the right thing!

We are in the middle of moving so my exercise time is limited. Once we are settled two weeks from now, I've already found a yoga studio and mapped out my walking route in the new neighborhood!

My stall started this past Friday. I've been bouncing around on this same stupid pound/half pound since adding soft foods. My Dr and NUT have some really different guidelines for weeks three and four. I was sleeved on 3/25, was on Clear Liquids for a week and full liquids until this past Thursday. I know my body is just saying that it finally got some food so its holding on to what it gets right now but still, it sure is frustrating. I have to keep in mind that I have lost 16 pounds since I got sleeved and in no other "life" have a consistently averaged a loss of 8 pounds a week. I have just gotten spoiled to watching the scale moving on down and now that it is stopped I feel like a brat getting all irritated cause the scale isn't doing what I want it to. It isn't the scale's fault. It isn't mine either, I'm doing my part, such is life :) This too shall pass and it will feel GREAT when it does!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
