One Week. One. Just one.

Recommended Posts

I don't think I have been this anxious/nervous/excited/terrified since my wedding. I fly out one week from today to San Diego. And my sleeve will be created on Saturday. The pre-op diet is going... well, it's going. MyFitnessPal keeps scolding me for not getting enough calories in each day! LOL

Anyone else just a week away?

I am so full of mixed emotions I cannot even articulate it! I tend to write novels when I make posts or blog... so I apologize in advance if I inundate this board with my observations and experiences. Then again... I may be too out of it to type LOL who knows.

One week. Amazing. It feels like just yesterday was November 11 when I decided this was my path and how far away 3 months felt. just wow.

I leave on Monday for San Diego. I just got home from my week at my client site. My box from Uninjury arrived and I started packing it for my trip. It is start to hit me that this is really going to happen. So, I know how you feel. I am pretty psyched and excited. I am more anxious about the post-experience with my hectic work / travel schedule. I will managed somehow.

YEEEESSSS!!!! I travel Sunday, February 3 to San Diego for surgery in Tijuana on Monday the 4th! Can't get past the feeling of anticipation - really looking forward to spending the remainder of my life as a normal sized person.

All the best to you as you count down this week! How is your pre-op diet going? I'm so pleasantly surprised that I am not starving and am losing weight. My 8 year old took my pre-surgery "fat" pictures this morning!

Thanks everyone!

HoosierGirl, pre op diet is going ok... MyFitnessPal is yelling at me that I am not getting enough calories! Lol that is a first. I have dropped more than ten lbs so far but I am not sure I am doing it "right". I have the pantry stocked with broth, Jello and the like, and the HMR orders are arriving soon! Best of luck to you!

SoCalDixieGal... Two weeks is when I started to think too much! I hope you are feeling pumped and confident. Your hoarder comment made me giggle. :)

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.

Various regulatory bodies are approving alternative sweeteners for use, ensuring their safety and efficacy. These approvals provide food and beverage manufacturers with the confidence to incorporate alternative sweeteners into their products. Additionally, initiatives like sugar taxes in several countries are pushing companies to seek healthier alternatives to traditional sugar.
