I'm officially sleeved!! I went down at 8 this morning so I am about 12 hours out! I have a lot of nausea but that's because I do not handle anesthesia or pain medicine very well. My stomach is definitely sore' date=' but I had my lapband taken and and reversed to a sleeve so my doctor told me I would be since he would be messing with scar tissue. The pain is still manageable though, the worst part is the nauseas but I just have to wait for the to wear off!! I am extremely happy that I made this decision to have surgery and I'll gladly take a little pain for a shot at a new healthier life![/quote']

Congratulations!!!

Good morning all. I was sleeves yesterday. I'm up as waiting for the shuttle to takes us back to the hotel. No nausea just colicky pains right where the drain sits. Other than that it was a great experience. I lost a total of 24 lbs pre op. they first have meet the nutritinis, then the cardiologist, followed by lab work and Iv, meet the surgeon, then change into gown and sexy paper underwear. Then u walk into the surgery room lie down, and in a few minutes lights out. The next thing I remember is waking up in my room, wondering if they ever operated on me. Slightly sore. My thought burned a little from the tube. All and all very good experience and excellent staff!! OCC is top notch!! Me and Dr Ortiz pre op

Sleeved on 2/19 as scheduled. A bit sore and the gas pains are wicked. I have been up since I woke up from surgery at 11:30 am yesterday. Due for my swallow test at 8am today. Can't wait to have a glass of Water.< /p>

Well get used to it. I was sleeved on the 15th and the gas pains are ridiculous! I feel like I'm in labor!!! Good Luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
