  7. I am doing much better now. My doctor have me on Prilosec for 3 months for acid indigestion. That gas is no joke, trust me I know. I have a problem with trying to make myself eat when I'm not hungry. I just make sure that I get my protein in no matter what. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
  8. I had my surgery on the 15th of February. I also had to endure people eating in front of me, but, with all of the gas pain I said to myself thank you Jesus! But glad to see that you are doing well and yes this is a long journey for us all! I finally bought a scale and I sort of wish I didn't because I find myself weighing in everyday and my husband said he was going to hide it from me! I guess a new habit is hard to break too! Anyway good luck on your doctor visit!!!
  9. Hello and how are you doing so far?
  10. Congratulations! You look great. I myself can't wait to get to where you are!
  11. I am also a cash patient. I used Dr. Dirk Rodgriguez, he is excellent and cheaper than any of the doctors here in the Dallas area. He also works out of Forest Park Medical off of Central Expressway. He was to perform my surgery 8 yrears ago until my insurance decline the day before. 8 years later, he's still around.
  12. My sleep has always been off before the surgery. I told my surgeon that I was taking sleep aid pills over the counter and he said that I could continue to take them if I wanted to.
  13. Good Luck! God Bless!
  14. My doctor told me that this is common. It will go away once you start eating more solid foods. Good Luck!
  15. Good morning! I am on my last week of liquids! I have had my refried beans and mashed potatos already! Trust me, I understand. Hang in there, we will make it!

I have been on clear liquids for 2 weeks. I just started eating cream of wheat. Yesterday the doctor told me to add mash potatos too! I feel guilty about eating period since I haven't had an appetite. The gas pain is horrible! But we will make it!
  19. Finally beginning to feel like myself. One more week of soups!
  20. The days are getting better. Found out that my blood pressure pills had something to do with my shortness of breath. Still have gas pains, but I am good !Thank you and I wish you luck as well.
  21. Good Luck! I had my surgery on the 15th of February, my surgeon didn't do a leak test either! He said everything was fine inside! You will be fine!
