Hello all! I am pretty new and I would love to join your group. I need all the support I can get! Just finished all my pre op requirements' date=' so next step is waiting to hear from my ins co.. I am scared but SO INSPIRED by you all & I am so excited!!! I have had hypothyroidism for about 13 years now & was wondering if you have to crush your meds for the rest if your life. Kinda worried bout that... Any tricks or suggestions? :)[/quote']

    There are people who crush their meds, But I never have. There have been times when something didn't slide down, and I wish i had..Lol!

    I take synthroid and do not have to crush it! My doc said that as long as pills are not much bigger than an M&M candy there is nothing to worry about with the sleeve surgery!! Good luck and welcome!

    Ahh.. I lived in Yakima many years. Went to YVC, met my husband, married, first child there, graduated CWU and then moved for work, but many awesome memories there. In-laws are gone now so we don't get there much.
