We're close, I'm in Yakima. :)

Ahh.. I lived in Yakima many years. Went to YVC, met my husband, married, first child there, graduated CWU and then moved for work, but many awesome memories there. In-laws are gone now so we don't get there much.

I'm not nasty, but I do argue a lot. It's the best way to test my arguments for weakness! You can't test arguments without arguing! It violates the whole purpose of having an argument! I also name call, ESPECIALLY if I'm playing Borderlands 2.

Can I still hang out?

Nope. Not here!

Then I will take my tongue-in-cheek attempt at levity and depart your thread. Have a good day!

AussieLady,

What were you doing awake at 2:10am?

If your answer is exercising, then you are totally excused Lol

Since I got my sleeve I have nights where I just don't sleep. Last night was one of this nights. Has anyone else had this problem since getting sleeved?

Yes, unfortunately. I now take a sleep aid to help with that.

Yes!!! I find myself awake all hours of the night. I just cannot sleep.

Later in the day I'm exhausted and then wouldn't you know it, I can't sleep again that night.

Count me in to the owl club. My remedies include magnesium tablets(chewed up), b6, a pain killer of some kind, and melatonin. I have always had trouble with sleeping so I can't blame it entirely on the sleeve. It seemed to get worse years ago when I worked 3rd shift followed by another job back to back with it on 1rst shift; my workaholic days. Also living in South Africa for 6 months played into it .

My sleep clock is messed up, I normally take a nap around 2 in the afternoon. I have tried to stay awake during that time and reset it but have not been successful thus far.

I take 2 unisom and it really helps me. Some of the other OTC remedies do not work as well for me or give me a hangover the next day (Costco sleep aid does this).

My dr prescribed me Xanax to help with the sleeplessness and it made me get up and raid my cabinets/refrigerator.

I cannot take it because then I start snacking instead of sleeping.< /p>

Ugh :(

I have Xanax as well and it does help sleep. I find that if something, (or someone , **plants vs zombies playing wife** ), wakes me up I have a hard time getting back to sleep no matter what I had taken. I try to save the Xanax for visits from annoying relatives.

Oh I'm going to try that next time MIL comes over! Hehe

I was having a hard time sleeping as well - until I amped up my exercise routine - using my fitbit - I never go without getting in 10k steps now - and I guess that wears me out :-)! However, I do agree with you guys - if I am woken up in the middle of the night (like my dogs barking) - I find it difficult to go back to sleep - but I'm not sure that is because of the sleeve.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
