I just ate my first egg since being sleeved. Tomorrow is my two week follow up with my Dr. I figgure it was safe to try. I made it VERY soft and added a little mayo. It was like eating the inside of a deviled egg.

It went down pretty good. A little pressure in the middle of my chest a few times. Needless to say I didn't eat much and my dog enjoyed the majority of it.

As of today I've lost 20.5 lbs which includes my pre-op loss of 7 lbs. I'm extremely happy with the progress so far.

My dogs are my number 1 supporters when eating lol. I can give them whatever i can't chow down.

What is everyone's plan on when to weigh themselves for the first time ?

I weighed myself 2 days after getting out of the hospital. I was in total shock because i was 10lbs down. But i made a promise that I will only weight myself every week post surgery.

IE: I had surgery on Tuesday so I will only weigh myself on Tuesdays. Its so hard though lol

I'm still too heavy for my home scale, so first weigh in will be at my 2 week post op appt.

After that, it will be weekly as well. Tuesdays also. I'm feeling pretty alert today. I feel like the inside stuff is more comfortable, and I'm at half my Protein for the day.

Well I weighed myself yesterday when i got home from the hospital and I gained 4 lbs! Lol! Not surprised as i had a 3 1/2 hour drive home from hospital which always causes edema. So I don't know when I'll get back on. I like the week after surgery day idea. For me, that's next Wednesday.

Wondering how my 27th sleevers are feeling today: gas, pain, walking ( how often/long), etc.

My understanding is that it is common for us to gain in the hospital... The fluids they put in have to cycle their way out.

I'm kind of glad I'm.not able to check for at least a week.

27th SLEEVER! I'm feeling pretty good except for one of the incisions. Hurts like hell. But gas pains is down significantly. I walked this morning for about 15 min. And I just went to the store with the family but only lasted about 20 minutes. I'm trying to push but not push too much!

Doing pretty good here!! Gas pain is much better today and I have the one incision where they removed my stomach from that hurts pretty bad but they warned me of that! I have been having a uncomfortable feeling when I drink something between my boobs, almost feels like an air bubble! Anyone else experiencing or have experienced this? I have been walking 30 minutes or more a day!

I weighed and had gained some since surgery but I figured it was all the fluids they pumped in me....so I will not weigh again until my one week post op!! Good luck to all of you!!

Okay for all of my March Sleevers I first want to congratulate you on the step we have taken to a better life both physically and mentally. With that being said I would like to share an article with you about Slider Foods. Right now I'm having trouble being around food. So I started to do some research and started to see a bright light at the end of my tunnel. I hope the article helps!!

So i started pureed foods today....???? I had a scrambled egg with atsp of melted cheese and 1/4 of a banana that i blended with 2tsp of soy milk and 1 tsp of natural peanut butter.........not too bad; i do think i needed to blend the eggs with a tad bit of broth or soomething cause they were kinda dry and felt a bit "strange" going down, but i ate about half the egg and half the banana and i was full.......i can also start taking my supplements today which is good because this feeling of weakness has got to go.......but doing well, i have lost 30 lbs from my high weight and 16 since day of surgery, unbelievable.........????????????????

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
