am 6 mts out and when does the belly fat go away

I had my surgery July 11, 2012 so I am just a few days from being 6mts post op. I have lost weight, not a lot it has been 41 lbs so far. I was just wondering when I will start to notice the belly fat going away.

The way that people's fat is distributed when they put weight on, and lose it, is very individual. I don't think you'll find a reliable answer! Be patient :)

I don't think it is possible for you to get rid of fat only in one part of your body. It comes from all over the body. Heredity and your specific weight distribution are unique to you. For me, it won't matter how much I lose, I will still have a little belly. My mom was tiny at around 5'4" and 104 lbs when she delivered me and she had a little belly.

You can build muscle and tone by working out with weights, though.

I've watched a lot of people lose their weight and most of them say the belly is the last to go!

For me,a pear shape, the belly fat along with the thighs started going only recently and I am 6 pounds from goal.In fact, will lower goal with 10 pounds because of this.

Apples seems to lose the belly quicker though!

Oh really? I am an apple shape (I hope this is the case for me:))

I'm not sure - I am a complete apple. My legs are like toothpicks now. I can't seem to drop that belly.
