Has anyone named their band?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to name my band. It's my new best friend - and don't friends usually have names or nick names? I'm naming my band Lenni - ;)

Anyone else name their band? If you have - what is your bands name?

I name everything. My husband thinks I'm a wacko for it but things mean more when they have a name associated with them!

I was thinking about this yesterday since a coworker bought me a stufed stomach from her local hospital gift shop. I just have to think of a name for the band... dont know yet.

I was thinking there should be a key chain shaped like the band. =)

My DH has named mine Billy. He refers to people jokingly as "Billy Bad Ass", especially our DS when he is full of himself. So when I was banded he kept saying I was a Billy Band Ass....now we just refer to it as Billy. Not the name I likely would have chose, but it fits now. At dinner tonight when I stopped eating (we went out with DS, DIL and DGS), he asks me "Billy shut ya down?" My DIL was so confused, she finally ask what we were talking about!

Mine is Katrinka but lovingly called Trink. BF always asks "Is Trink treating you ok?" ;)

I had an image of her as a lovely pale ballerina with her tiny fist around my tummy....beautiful and often petulant. Thus Trink was born.

I named my pouch....call it Pooch, as in "gotta feed the Pooch," "Pooch can't eat that," etc. (FYI: for you city or foreign folks, pooch is a very common term for pet dogs in rural areas).

The "Silicone Freeloader." :biggrin1:

OK, that sounds harsh, but I do think it kind of sits around, hangs out, and only chips in when it wants to do something, LOL.

My band is Sven- the swedish task-master!

I like to think of him as a big burly golden-haired viking kind of guy- you know "you vill not eat that!!" hee hee

Mine is Neysa. Named for my dog, who I had for 12 years before having to have her put to sleep some years ago.

She was a great pet, but had odd quirks I learned to live with and love. So it seemed appropriate.

I asked DH if he had named his band, and he looked at me like I was nuts...

I think I'll name mine, my new car. Since there will be no new car in my future after taking out the loan for this!:)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
