I'm 3 days post opp and I probably made a huge mistake getting on the scale today. I haven't lost 1 pound!!! My biggest fear before doing this was that I would be the exception and that I wouldn't loss weight..... That thought immediately kicked in and now I'm a ball of tears.

Did anyone notice weight loss so soon after surgery?

It's from the IV's definately!!! DO NOT get upset! After a few days as the water drains out of you the weight will start coming off! You are going to see that scale go up and down a lot over the next few months so try your best eat healthy, eat protein first, drink lots of water and keep moving everyday and you will lose weight. I was highly emotional too after surgery, not sure why but I remember crying in my husbands lap hysterical because some people really socked it to me, but looking back on it now it was laughable!!!
