What is the standard hospital stay for band removal?

My band slipped in '04 and was repaired by sewing the stomach around my band. Now, I have another complication and surgeon says it will need to come up completely. I will not have a new band put in because insurance refuses to pay for it.

My band was removed 9/28/06. It was day surgery, just like when I had it put in. Surgery was at 9:00, I was home by 5:00. I had a small complication in that I had alot of scar tissue that had to be cleaned up and he watched me for an extra couple of hours after recovery period, so if it werent for that I probably would have been home sooner!

Recovery wise it has been very similar to my original banding. You have the port incision (where they remove port) to deal with, and then the four smaller incisions.
