Most people have a stall at around the three week mark, but stalls can come anytime. Most people are stairstep losers - lose a bunch and then rest for a week or two, then lose some more and rest. I am one of the abberations who didn't really have any stalls (only one week where I didn't lose anything) during my entire loss period.

First off congrats on your 50 lbs in 6 weeks. That is amazing. Im just over two months out and have stalled twice at weeks 3 and week 7. When I started working out hard at the gym during week 7 my body stalled again trying to fight due to all the calories I'm losing. Youre doing great. Keep up the outstanding job.

Stalls can come at any time. I've seen people that stalled almost immediately after surgery. And then then there is people like me, I didn't stall till I hit 3 1/2 months then I stalled for 7 weeks. Keep the faith , you be vigilant in doing your part and your sleeve will not let you down.

I wish my stall didn't start until 6 weeks out. Try 10 days Post Op then you can complain about it being early ;)

At 10 days out you are still on liquids. I had the same problem but that all changed when I finally got to start eating food again! Just wait and it will happen!

A 7 week long stall. That must have been tough, mentally.

It was frustrating. But I've seen stalls that were 4 months & I knew I hadn't stalled yet, so I didn't allow myself to get discouraged. I just really hated posting every week that I was "still stalled". I really felt bad puting that out there as I was afraid it could discourage others.

I hadn't stalled once, now I'm 3.5 months out and in my 3rd week of this stall. It's annoying jumping on the scales and not seeing them move, but I have lost a lot so far, so as long as I'm not gaining, I'm ok.

I stalled the entire 3rd month, but went down 4 pant sizes. Just busted the stall yesterday. All the sudden 4 lbs gone in 3 days. Yay!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
