When Can I Expect Hair To Return?

My surgery was 6/20/12. My hair has really been falling out... When can I expect the loss to stop, and when can I expect to see hair growing back?

You might want to call your doc's office, they might be able to recommend vitamins that have helped other people they have seen have this happen. I googled "hair loss after WLS" & there is a lot of info. I am sorry this has happened to you. I am going to take a photo of my hairline now, you might want to so you can track it as time goes on and KNOW that it is getting thicker.

I hope this helps.

I started to lose my hair at about 3 or 4 months out. at around 6 months the falling slowed down, now at 8 months i can really see it growing back.

Mine started falling out at about 8 months and hasn't stopped. I hope it starts growing back soon. I'm not opposed to using Rogaine if I need to but I'd certainly rather not. I don't miss my extra 165 pounds but I do miss my thick head of hair....

I am 18 months out and it hasn't grown back. I am still hopeful, but it seems like I am the odd man out.
