How long did u stay in the hospitable? I was sleeved mon the 14th and came home on the 17th. I can not do the puréed meats <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />.

I'm with you on the puréed meats! That just seems like it will be terrible. I wonder if I can just stay on the full liquids during that stage? Have you talked to your doctor about it?

I started this last wed. on puree'd food and I have no problems, I poach talipia and my vegetables in beef broth and some creole seasoning and then blend it up. It doesn't look very appetitizing but it taste great.

Finally sweet relief! The incision that has been burning like its on fire has stopped. Just sore now. Fyi to all the pre sleevers a heating pad and abdominal binder will be your friend lol. I did ice gel packs the first few days due to swelling. The heating pad helped with the gas stuck in my chest and helps with being sore. The abdominal binder helps with sagging and pulling. Luckily I was glued. I was able to shower immediately and no special care.

I am very impressed with everyone who is able to post shortly after their surgery! I could barely stay awake long enough to get my vitals taken! I was sleeved Wednesday. Had a really rough night as my narcotic pump made me sick but once they switched painkillers I was doing much better! I'm home now and doing ok. Getting more fluids in all the time. :) Everyone is right, it gets better every day.

I will have my sleeve done on 1/29. After waiting all this time, now I am nervous. I feel so much better reading about others who had it done and feel good already. I get scared that I will feel sick. Pain meds usually make me sick and so does anesthesia. The Dr. said not to worry but I cant help it.

I get nausea from pain meds and always vomit after general anesthesia but I talk about with both my doc and the anesthetist and we agreed he would be more aggressive with anti emetics to avoid the nausea. He ordered a patch for behind my ear before I was even taken to the OR and said I could keep it on for 3 days:). All went well, just talk to them openly about it because there are things they can do to prevent nausea and vomiting.

I had the patch too and never had any nausea. I highly recommend them.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
