Why Lie?!?!

Recommended Posts

Why keep things secret?

I think some sleevers obviously become vain and bitchy' date=' (and by some of the comments in these threads, it's quite a few) someone they would have avoided when overweight.

I tell anyone who asks, especially overweight people, they need all the help and information they can get, I wish people had shared with me, maybe I would have had this wonderful operation sooner![/quote']

What? What? What???

Not sure why you would call people here vain and bitchy??

That doesn't sound very nice does it??

OMG

Are you guys really asking me to defend my remark??????

SOME people do change, possibly they were always mean, go figure hey

I'm NOT saying EVERYONE who chooses to keep things private are vain and bitchy, but some are.

Please read a post properly before you attack it's author.

I think this was a valid thread to start and infact was just having a laugh with a friend saying in 6 months when my family at the reunion looks at me with amazement I hope! and ask what dI'd you change I'm goin to say I eat way less and took out carbs baaaaa hsaaaa as if! I've heard that" misrepresentation" a few times . if it were that easy there wiild not be an apademic of obesity . I m not embarrass of my choice. it is not the easy way out! and I could most certainly fail agian inspiteof this tool . knowledge is key and I woild hope that haunesty and transparancy could go far and change a lot of unhealthy unhappy lives

I'm giving up, you guys win.

I'm really not interested in your Trolling bullshit.

That's what I get you guys are doing to me, even if you disagree, as you are accusing me of something very similar.

Thanks for making me feel like that, hope you are proud of yourselves.

Obviously our cultures are too far apart and not as similar as I had thought.

I'll stick to the Aussie room from now on, that way I won't be misunderstood.

Well I have acknowledged that my not being forthcoming is selfish of me but I have my reasons be it if they are wrong or not... I'm on the fence half the time. I tell lots of people but some places/situations are harder to talk about it and that's when I try and change the subject.

I still don't get it?

You're upset. Sorry I upset you.

Wasn't my intent.

I was just stating that I don't tell people but I'm not vain or bitchy.

That's all.

Sorry you feel like a troll

What I think we have here is a failure to communicate... Although "troll" and "bullshit"

Are hard to mix up as a nicety...

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
