Hospital Stay With Us Self Pay?

Hi there. Did anyone on the board get a hospital stay included with their US surgeon in a self pay situation? If so, could you post the surgeon's name and the amount you paid? Thanks very much for your input and suggestions.

I was self pay The cost of the hospital was just a line item on a single bill, all of which was paid to the surgeon's practice, which then distributed the funds to the hospital, anesthesia, etc.

I don't remember exact numbers, but my total bill was about $18,000. Some of that was to purchase insurance in the event of complications. Expensive, but worth the peace of mind to me.

Dr. Weiss, Bluegrass Bariatrics, in Kentucky.

My surgeon was mark pleatman in west bloomfield , MI. My total charge was 11,200.00 which was $200 for initial consultation, $5000.00 his charge cash or check and $6000 for hospital stay which for me was overnight. I used credit card to get my points! He told me pts have stayed longer and to his knowledge had not received a bill for additional night stays. He does many people from out of state. his website is markpleatman@comcast.net. Good luck. He did an awesome job 4 days out feeling good,

I paid $14K for my surgery. $5K went to surgeon, 1K to anesthesiologist, 9K to hospital.

My surgeon was Dr Keith Chung in Lake Charles, LA
