  1. Bonniefreel I have had the same problem and found that if you get some benefiber and sprinkle some in your morning drunk (I.e. coffee, juice, water) it helps a lot! I am 3 years out and still do it
  2. You hit the nail on the head when you said the word snacking....No WLS is going to work unless you fix the reasons why you are sabotaging yourself. Fix the brain and you will fix the body. If you have to snack pick a couple of almonds. Or some raisins. Nothing junkie. High calories and no benefits to body health at all. What you have is a tool. Not a fix it all! You have to be a driven person to do this. And continue for the rest of your life or you will find yourself back to what you started as. This information is not new to any of us. It is for me as well as you. We are in this together. It could be me later on... So breath deep, regroup and get it together kid. Okay...Back to basics and dense Proteins and stay away from carbs unless complex okay. Keep up the exercise and don't weigh yourself every day...That just discourages you more. We are all struggling with this demon in our lives. You are not alone no matter what surgery you chose. Basically....we have to see it as a tool and not a fix...We have to fix ourselves a long the way!!! I need this!! Thank u. I am up 4 lbs and u am 2 years out. I know a little regain us normal but want to make sure I am doing everything right!!
  3. Thanks everyone. Maybe I am trying to stretch myself too thin. I always eat my protein first but I haven't logged that. I think I am gonna try that first.
  4. I am sure u are probably right. And to top it off I forgot to mention the 3 little kids too! My workout sessions are all under an hour because I get to worn out. Maybe I need to add some more complex carbs? I am pretty sure I don't get enough of those in. I am so scared to gain the weight back that I am willing to do anything I need to.
  5. I have been exercising more than I ever had and I am feeling very weak/tired. And was hoping to talk to someone on how to put a better plan together for me. Has anyone ever worked with a nutritionist? How do I hire one (I would love to find one that knows about our surgery)? And how much do they cost? Thanks
  6. I am 14 months out and have been trying to do more exercise. I am currently trying to do "more" than I have ever done before. I am in a group trying to do 100 miles of walking/running/biking over the next month. In addition to that, I am also getting ready to walk a 1/2 marathon in less than a month. And to top it all off, I am in my final semester of Nursing school. My problem is that I feel so weak and exhausted. I need help! Does any one know what I can do to make my muscles feel stronger, to get energy back and to fuel my body. Should I be doing more strength training? I am lost! I have never been good at this and just need some advice... Has anyone been through it and help me out...
  7. My husband is on here but I don't know his screen name. Lol. I'll find out ad let u know
  8. Congrats!!!! That is awesome! My husband and I would like to get into in. Right now we are walking & sometime running. We started looking at bikes and it makes my head spin! Didn't know there were so many options someone told us a hybrid would be good since we r just planning on doing neighborhood and bike trails. Any suggestions?! Thanks
  9. I have a fitbit and for my walks/runs it works at logging my miles but I started doing Pilates and its not logging activity. Is there anything I can do? If I am doing it, I want to get credit for it! Lol
  10. Lol. To funny. My husband just got his man sleeve last moth! Start walking no matter how slow before u know it the weight will come off and u will feel great.
  11. So I think that I am officially at the end of my "Weight loss Phase". I am nervous about heading into "Maintenance Phase". I am spent so much time and emotion trying to lose weight all these years that it feels weird that I am here and don't have anymore weight to lose... I almost feel like "Now what?" Has anyone else felt like this?
  12. I LOVE Dr. Mark Pleatman too! I just celebrated my year, I am down 126.4 and my husband just has this done with Dr. Pleatman on Monday! He is great

I can't wait to make these... Thanks!
  17. I am about 10 months out and have noticed I have had bad breathe lately... I don't know if it's from the change in my diet or not drinking enough water. But to be honest I really don't know. Has anyone else experienced it?
  18. Thank you everyone for your input! It has really helped me!

  21. Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the input. I do know that they more dense food I eat the longer I stay full. I am loving beans and cheese right now! lol I am only a few lbs from goal and can't wait! Most days I am getting about 1000 calories in.. So I guess I am right on track.
  22. I am 9 months out and was wondering if there is a chart or something out there that tells me exactly how many calories a day we should be eating. The nutritionist at my doctors office said 1300 to 1800 depending on activity level. I thought that kinda sounded like a lot. What are your thoughts and I would love to hear from people that are a year or two out and what they are eating! Thanks
  23. Thank you so much, that was very helpful.... So whatever the BMR says I need to maintain, my goal calories should be 75-85% ? Great at least I have a number I can follow!!
