Deposit ( Ready 4 Change )

Recommended Posts

Before I paid my deposit for Dr. Garcia, I watched a few videos on YouTube. The hospital seems a little small but clean.

You won't be in a room with another patient. These rooms are for patients who have a travel mate. I had a single bed in a private room.

When is your surgery? What mad you pick dr Garcia?

I am sorry, I didn't see this message..

It was the reviews on this message board, online research, pricing, talking with a few people personally, youtube, and alma. I also was able to email Dr. Garcia concerning a health issue and his experiences both good and bad. He responded very quickly and offered to call.

My surgery is scheduled for 2/21/13

I will speak to my coordinator about this. If that is the case, I would rather be in the room with my sleeve buddy.

I was sleeved on Oct. 30th with Dr. Garcia and my experience was great! My husband and I had a room to ourselves, but then again we were the only ones on the floor for the stay. As we were leaving... Samuel our driver said he was picking up 5 more patients the next day, so with that said not sure if they will all have their own room.

Yes the hospital is small, but definitely well equipped. They may not have the MOST advanced tools of the trade.. for instance I kind of giggled a little when they took my tempreture with an old school mercury thermometer and place it in my armpit. I haven't had that done in YEARS!!! LOL

I would highly reccomend Dr. Garcia and his staff!

They asked us at the Mi hospital if you would be willing to share or not, there were 6 of us in the group and we all had our own rooms :-)

Just curious what the deposit amount is with ready 4a change. I'm thinking of changing my option to self pay Mexico instead of going thru insurance since I will end up paying roughly the same amount and would get in sooner with going to Mexico..... Is the deposit the same for everyone?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
