Things Tummy Doesn't Like

Recommended Posts

I swallowed my Gummy Vitamin whole this afternoon. By mistake. I forgot it was a chew and took it like a pill. My tummy is NOT happy. Having some warm hot choc to hopefully help melt it.

Lettuce, raw veggies and Water are still upsetting my tummy. Will I ever be able to drink Water again?

Thanks,

Judy

I think mine is sweet peas and Gatorade. With the sweet peas' date=' the sick feeling was instantaneous, but the Gatorade was weird. I drank an orange one yesterday and I had no issues. Today was a different story, after half a bottle I started to feel nauseous and proceeded to dry heave. I blamed my husband for the sardine cans in the garbage, but then I tried a blue Gatorade and got nauseous again, so no more Gatorade for me, back to Water. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Hey I haven't seen much mention of Vitamin Water on the posts here. They are very good, and even have electrolytes.

For those who have had problems digesting certain foods, were you forewarned by your surgeon or Nutritionist to stay away from certain foods like nuts, corn, rice, etc.?

There is regular and zero.

Zero has 6 carbs.

Yes I have tried vitamin water, that was one of the first liquids I had in the hospital, other than crystal light. I will have to get more of those , they are really good too.

I can add nuts, etc as I feel that I'm comfortable with them. Corn is no problem and I'm thinking of ordering a rice dish I love to give it a try but I do hear rice is hard for many. I guess I'll see. I did have to avoid them for the first several weeks (3 months on nuts).

All milk is a no-no for my sleeve...I've tried fat free, almond milk, rice, etc.

As far as Crystal light substitutes my nutritionist recommended Fuze Slenderize (not the energy flavors) Sobe Life Water (ditto on the energy flavors), sugar-free Kool-Aid packets added to bottle water and sugar-free popsicles for hydration. Hope these suggestions help you all too.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
