Sleeved 10/18 here, I feel great. I can drink like I used to, and I have no problem eating pureed stuff. I had chili today with melted reduced fat cheese and a dollop of FF greek yogurt, it was sooo delish!

I have so much energy, I cant wait to go back to work on Monday and start living again.. :D

This certainly is the best thing I have ever done in my life!!!

I was sleeved the 19th. So far I have lost 20 pounds. My family has already begun complainting on my shrinking body. I feel great but I am still on liquids until 11/5... most nights I dream of food. I can't wait for the next stage. I am going back to work on Monday i am interested to see how I feel it's a desk job not to taxing but I will miss my afternoon nap.

I was sleeved on 10/17 feel great no pain at all still trying to get in all the liquids plus Protein. My goal for tomorrow is to get those liquids in and focus on that to see how much I am actually drinking everyday. I start Purée food Monday and really need some recipes on what to eat. I am down 25lbs so far taking everything one day at a time looking forward to the day when my clothes fall off and I am forced to buy new ones. Refuse to shop now I have noticed clothes are fitting better and my energy is great. I hope all my fellow 17th sleevers are doing great lets stay in touch and check in on November 17th and see how we are doing and let's encourage each other to lose this weight and get healthy. Egg salad - couple eggs, 1 tsp of mayo, 1/2 tsp of spicy brown mustard, salt & pepper - puree until smooth

Buffalo chicken - can of chicken, 1 tbsp blue cheese crumbles, 2 tbsp ranch dressing, 1 tsp. of buffalo sauce, salt & pepper - puree until smooth - MY PERSONAL FAVORITE!

Squash casserole - 1 can of squash with vidalia onion, 2 tbsp of cream cheese, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, salt & pepper, 1 tsp margarine/butter, 1 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese - puree until smooth, pour into dish and microwave for 90 seconds or until heated through and bubbly

Pintos and cheese - 1 can of Pintos with onion - puree until smooth, pour into dish and cover with 2 tbsp. of shredded cheddar cheese - microwave for 90 seconds or until heated through and bubbly - stir well to combine the cheese - optional: add a bit of enchilada sauce if you are looking for more flavor

Hi!! I was sleeved 10/17, I feel pretty good and am down 22lbs so far! Still struggling to get all the Protein and Water down, but got a few things to try from the nutritionist, so today is a new day to do better. The one thing that surprised me is missing food so much! I didn't realized that part of my issues with food. The normalcy of chewing will be most welcomed! lol Thanks for the recipes, looking forward to trying those.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
