butterbean last i checked you didnt have a phd so dont tell me what i should be doing. and being your age you would be focused on what you think and write to ppl. nobody on here is perfect if they were they wouldnt be here including you.

i went through kaiser and on thier menu its 2 oz protien 1/4 cup carb and 1/4 cup veggie. the carb is rice potato sweet potato etc the veggies are whatever i want. ive known me for 47 years and been on so many diets i know the diffearnce between head and regular hunger.

thank you everyone else for your positve feed back.

I think the hunger is getting to you. Butter did not say anything that deserved that nastyness my dear. He asked the same question I would have asked you because your diet seems odd for five weeks out. Especially given you are having issues with being full.

The gravy should be considered as it likely isn't low in sugar. You might ask your nut about that...bring in the label if necessary. Low fat isn't the only thing to consider.

that part i should no better i dont need scolding just advice im not a child thats my problem watch how you come across ppl

He said at five weeks he would think you should be more focused on Protein. Ummmm thats pretty standard for the program. Yours might be a bit different, but he is kindly sharing that normally at five weeks Protein is typically king. He's not scolding you. I am shocked anyone would take that comment that way.

Ok I think I need to say she asked everyone to drop it!! It's over whether she is right or wrong she is entitled to her feelings and you need to respect that. Let it go!! She is over it and so is butter. Geez nothing like beating a dead horse!!

But here's the thing. When you're rude and out of line with someone, you don't get to decide when it's over and time to drop it. I'm sure if she just apologized to Bbean it would go away. But I just read this for the first time today and am offended for butterbean. He is nothing but helpful on this forum, you asked for advise, he offered it, and she cut him down for it.

Newgrandmother, for the record, yes I did read his "last paragraph", not just your response. Have you noticed how many people have responded that you were in the wrong versus how many people responded that you were in the right? Maybe it's time to step back and ask yourself if maybe you really were in the wrong, regardless of your feelings at the time. Everyone makes mistakes. It's how we deal with those mistakes that define us as a person. Good luck to you.

I am a patient at Panorama City - Dr. Alskaf is my bariatric doctor. I think my NUT was Stacy...I almost can't remember, I haven't seen her since Options and I completed the program 12/6/11 and had surgery 4/6/12.

We had a group of about 25, not sure how many actually had the surgery, alot of people were on the fence.

Thank you. I consider myself a slow loser, but I guess I am the tortise and not the hare! I don't care, I still have a ways to go...just six months out, this isn't a race and I am pleased with my skin, sometimes if you lose too fast, you have major loose skin issues...I do have some, but I am pleased that in some places, it is getting better and not worse, like my thighs. I have lost about 60% of my excess weight, so I am in line with what my bariatric doctor said is considered a good success rate for the 6 month mark.

I am on a very restrictive low carb diet right now and it is making me a little cranky today though!! Not cheating though...just craving ^_^

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
