Aetna Sleevers - Share Your Approval And/or Denial Experiences Here!

My paperwork was officially submitted to Aetna yesterday, so while I am twiddling my thumbs waiting to hear something (an approval, HOPE-HOPE-HOPE!), please share your Aetna experience!

  1. How long did it take for you to get an answer once your paperwork was submitted?
  2. Has anyone with a high BMI and co-morbidities been denied? If so, why?
  3. Do your ears hang low, do they wobble to and fro? <g>

My BMI is 49

Them there shouldnt be an issue..i have aetna and they required 3 months of weighins...a nutritionist appt, and also by the time of your weigh in you can't weigh more than your first consultation weight..they also want your documented weight for the last 2 years.. i only had it for 1 and they sent a picture for the other but it was still approved. Ive read the whole entire thread of this and it seemed several people were having problems with the documentation, but at my surgeons office they said thats more of an issue with people who barely qualify..so usually people who had bmis hovering around 40 or so

Thanks for the information. I am plan on trying with my current information and if it's denied I will take the classes. I have my weight documentation for past years and my third weigh on is on 05/23. Fingers crossed and lots of ????
