10 Days Out And Still Feeling Rough

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on 9/20 and I still feel rough. Weak and stomach still sensitive. Is this normal? I feel like I could lay down all day but I don't. I force myself to get up and do things.

It will get better. Trust me. I had surgery on 6/14 and u had terrible buyers remorse for at least 3 weeks. I couldn't beleive I did this awful thing to myself. I had NO energy and felt awful. But as you progress and transition to different stages of food, your energy and mood will improve dramatically. Just hang in there. I'm down 69 pounds in 3.5 months, so it was definitely the right decision.

It will get better, I was just sleeved on the 27th, but each day gets better, hang on :) I feel the same too, because of gas pain I don't want to lay down, I'm constantly moving. Even when I get up in the night to use it, I do a lap in the hallway LOL

Buyers remorse is a good way of putting it. I thought how could I take out a perfectly good working organ and why did I do this to myself. I was sleeved on 8/29 and today hit 25lbs...I feel so good....

Hang in there, it has been just a few days since I have been completely pain free...I promise it does get better...Give yourself time

It'll get better hand in there. Maybe you rest a little more than you are right now. I know I rested a lot during the fist week sometime your body needs the rest to heal. Hope you feel better soon.

It really does get better!!! Really, it does! If you need to rest for a bit, do so! For the most part, many of us did not look like we'd been through major surgery when we came home from the hospital!!! But, remember, you have just undergone major surgery and there are a lot of changes going on in our bodies. Yes, there are some bumps in the road on this journey, but, I wouldn't change a thing! I'm two months out today and I just slipped on the jacket to a jogging set that I bought back in February. The pants fit quite snug and I couldn't zip the jacket at all. Today, the jacket more than fit. I could zip it up, and I've got spare room in it! Now, the pants are a little too roomy, lol!!! A day like today makes it all worth it! Hang in there, you'll be fine!

Your calorie and Protein intake is low and it causes you be to sleepy and sluggish. When those improve you will-- I drank some apple juice and got mental clarity and some energy to start feeling human. You are about a week away from the funk clering and being good to go.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
