17 Pounds In 5 Days On Preop Diet

Welcome Oct Sleevers. I started my one week pre op diet on Monday I weighed in at 265[i had several food funerals] I got on the scale this morning it said 248. I have 3 days left and I predict I will be down to 245 by surgery on Oct 2nd. That's 20 pounds in one week. Everything that I have read said if you lose a lot of weight pre op, your weight will come off slow post op and I am concerned about that a LOT!!! ne suggestions?

I don't know the answer to your question but you're giving me hope that the 15.5 lbs I have to lose before the 15th will just melt off!

I lost 20 lbs. on 10 day pre op but I had done my 'world tour of favorite foods' the weeks before! Kissed them good bye for a while.

I think I am only down 11 lbs since surgery 9/6 but really can tell it in my clothes.

So I think we may lose slower but it will all even out eventually.

Congrats and good luck. I had no complications and I am 56 with 3 co morbities. (soon to be none)
