I went off my pain meds the day after surgery. I just didn't have any pain. I had a little discomfort from the drain tube thingy , but that was more like a pressure feeling. I also didn't suffer from the gas pains so many talk about, I bought 2 packs of Gas X strips but didn't need them. Not everyone has the same after effects and as I have been through 2 full knee replacements, had my gall bladder out, had a missed gallstone removed from my liver duct a few years after that, bunion surgery (now THAT hurt!!) and a few other minor things, I was pretty aware of what my pain tolerance was and how I reacted to anesthesia. Have you had any other procedures to think about how you felt after?
