So if anyone was watching the news today. There was a report of 132 prisoners escaping. I would expect this type of thing to happen in the more dangerous border towns, but I was under the impression that Piedras Negras was one of the more quiet border towns.

Now as for my situation. I have my sleeve date on Oct. 30th. with Dr. Alvarez. My deposit was sent in. Going to start my pre op liquid diet soon. Bought plane tickets and made hotel reservations.

Is it just a strange thing to have this story come out like the day after I make all my travel arrangements. I dont believe in bad karma or signs..., but still... should I be concerned? like some sort of cartel drug war raging in the streets by the time I arrive. lol

I am still going to go regardless because my plane tickets are non refundable and im not really scared. Just want to hear peoples thoughts.

That sounds like counties here in the State of Oregon. We've released about that many in recent months due to overcrowding and budget cuts.
