AUGUST Bandits

Recommended Posts

Hi all! Where have you all been.:clap2: I have seen every month but August. I'm such a newbie I didn't know how to start this thread. I was banded on August7. I have been starving since a week after surgery. I begged for a fill but was told to eat. Just stay under a 1000 calories. The protien drinks made me so sick I was in the hospital 2 days before surgery. I had 1 fill and I can barely feel it. Wednesday I get my second fill and I think this cone will make a big difference.

I think my missing link is the exercise. I have bad knees and back but you all are encouraging me to try the treadmill.....:faint:

Good luck all.......great meeting you all.

Judy

I want a tummy tuck! And a boob lift as well. I still carry all my weight around my middle. I exercise like a demon, which means that I CAN suck my stomach in, but the skin is all crinkly when I do, and now I have little puckers where my boobs and my ribcage meet.

I am down around 175 from 242. Down from a 2x to a size 12 in pants! I still want to lose about 15 pounds (I am 5'10" tall), but I have only lost 5 pounds since November - blame vacations and holidays, and general lack of self-control. Where is everyone else?

August 24, 2006 bander... Here is my update, down 41 lbs from 220, to 179. Down from a size 18 to size 12, for the last 2 months, every 3 to 4 weeks I give my clothing away. My daughter and I just got back from our spring break cruise, I only worked out twice on the ship, but we did all kinds of walking and I lost 2 lbs. I have a different relationship with food, I only eat if I have to, and no food is over the top appealing to me anymore. Beef no longer agrees with my band, chicken is hit or miss with my band, fish works best for me. I have had 3 good size fills, and 1 minor adjustment a month before our cruise. Having the band is a major life adjustment, but I would not have it any other way.

WOW LadyK-- from an 18 to a 12! That's fantastic!!!

I started in a tight 20 and have just purchased some 16's that are beginning to get loose. I hope to say the same about 14's in a month or so. I just took alot of nice slacks to my new found alterations store... spending about $90 to take in $500 worth of clothes. I asked if they can continue to alter them... said they had a man loose over 300 pounds, and when the pockets of his pants got too close, they could no longer alter the clothes any longer. WOW!!! What a problem to have!

It sure is fun!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
