What is a panniculectomy?

The removal of the apron...or my case the skin that hangs down after weight loss or having kids. Not quite a Tummy Tuck. There are some before and afters on google. Just my understanding of it. Take a look see;-)

Hi there! I was sleeved Aug 20.

1. A typical day: 1 Shakeology chocolate shake with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk' date=' 1 babybel light cheese, half a bottle of Powerade Zero, 1 Max Protein vanilla powder shake with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 2 oz unsweetened apple sauce.

2. Other than the acid reflux the first week, I haven't had much nausea. I found out I'm allergic to the steri strips they used so taking Benadryl but really not bad at all. My energy levels really improved a week post op and when I added the Shakeology mix in - it has more nutrients than just Protein and is one of the few Protein shakes I can stomach and think tastes good!

3. I've lost about 29 lbs since my highest weight when I went into my first consult.[/quote']

Doesn't shakeology have too much sugar and carbs for newly sleeved people?

Has noticed an increase in my appetite smh has anyone else noticed the same?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using VST

Yes. I have noticed an increase as well. I try hard to look to the Protein drinks and the like but I also love the fruits and veggies. Before a couple ounces of Protein was all I could stand. Now I need a bite more and my sweet tooth is back. Anyone else? Need feedback!!!

I felt like for almost a month I was at a stall.... so I buckled down and started using Myfitnesspal... I'm surprised at how fast calories add up.... I am working out a lot more and keeping track of what I eat....it took almost two weeks after tracking and I dinae weigh myself daily to notice a drop....and I litterally lost 6-7lbs over a weekend.... its been about two weeks since that and I'm probably down another 3 right now.... I was sleeved August 6th and I'm down 111 since then, and that's including my two week pre-op.

Thanks! I use LoseIt app. I must admit that the past couple weeks I have not logged in due to frustration. I will get back to it and add more exercise. I am down 107 since surgery and pre op. I still have a ways to go to get my BMI to 25. Thanks again for the feedback and suggestions;-)

Surgery on 8/27/12 I have lost 110 lbs. I exercise 5-6 days a week for an hour. Lots of Water aerobics.

I too am stalled. In April I was eating sugar so I was going up & down 2 lbs. then I got a grip, stopped sugar as of May 10th, lost the 2 lbs and now am sitting at 180 every day. Goal is 165. I will not quit til I get there....this weight loss has been so awesome so far, I don't want to miss what the final 15 will bring me.

Thanks for everyone's input, sounds like a lot of us are "stalled".

I have lost 94 lbs and losing has slowed down to about 5 lbs a month so I just started exercising (walking) to help SPEED IT UP...LOL I still have a LONG WAY TO GO to get to my goal of 150/160 lbs...HOPEFULLY I'LL MAKE IT!!!

My surgery was 8/24 also and I've surpassed my first goal of 150, now I'm working on getting to my second of 135. I am currently 138 I'm trying so hard to make it and maintain cuz I'm so tired of living off Protein Shakes lol

Surgery date August 22. Pre weight 343. Current weight 227.5., so I'm down 115.5. I'd hoped to be further. I lost the least in this say month, only about 6-7 lbs. I've gotten very relaxed with my eating. I eat way more carbs than before, but still not too many. I need to get back to basics and lift more weights!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
